For over 6000 years, we’ve had a relationship with the majestic horse. Here in Ocala, it’s impossible to escape the culture around the equestrian world. 

Owners, trainers, breeders, riders, jockeys, and other horse enthusiasts who want to capture the raw power and spirit of horses in the greater Ocala area can turn to me as a dedicated equine photographer.

Celebrating the Equine

From the smallest ponies to the largest Clydesdales, I love coming face to face with horses of all shapes and sizes. Every horse has a lesson to teach, whether it’s the endurance of a racehorse or the precision of a showjumper. Getting right into the track or the ring with these large animals gets my blood pumping. Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, Percherons, Shires, Arabians, Palominos, Appaloosas, Pintos: you name them, I love them all.

Capturing the spirit of a horse on film has been a goal of photographers for centuries. In 1874, photographer Eadweard Muybridge captured a galloping horse in pictures that, when put together, created motion long before Hollywood was an industry. This feat of photography, today considered the world’s first GIF, was groundbreaking in an era with few technologies. Today, with the use of stop-motion, 360–degree views, and time–lapse, I can capture every detail and create stunning works of art for business or pleasure
